INCOMPLETE BLANKS

I cover a piece of leather with paper, leaving an exposed circle in the center. I put the piece of leather by a window, in the sunlight. The sun naturally tans the exposed leather. Thus, in addition to the leather physically recording this experience, I stamp the place and time of this tanning onto the paper that covered it. Each of the pieces tells a unique story of their individual experiences of location, intensity of the sun, and length of time it endured being tanned.
